The performer displays a £2 coin and tells the spectators a story about when these coins first came into circulation and how they had to be recalled as the centres kept falling out. The performer then states how with applying a principle to the new coins you can get the same thing to happen. The performer then begins waving a lighter underneath the coin after a second or two he pushes gently on the centre and it pops out!
The performer then goes on to explain that for many years one of the most popular effects or close up illusions a magician can perform is a solid through solid penetration and asks to borrow a finger ring from somebody. The performer then goes on to link the borrowed finger ring to the outer ring of the £2 coin! The objects are then unlinked, the coin is placed back together and with another wave of a lighter is then handed out for inspection. This is just one presentation possible with The Link!
