The thirteenth in the series, the most professional Teach-In on this classic of magic produced!
The "Chop Cup" used by professionals world wide!
Never fails to entertain and amaze!
Four performers reveal their secret routines and explain as well!
Most all magicians in the world have a "chop cup" in their repertoire, but only a few have mastered the effect to its fullest.
Larry Jennings, (a disciple of Dai Vernon's natural magic sleights and moves) performs and teaches his legendary routine that Ken Brooke called "The greatest Chop Cup routine I've ever seen" and he used it himself! Larry's routines are "pure simple" and you will relish his movements and handling!
Don Alan, whose routine is probably the most reknowned of all, made this his "signature effect" for his close up performances! (Enough said) Martin Lewis, you will love his original, clever entertaining performance! Quick, effective, high energy and entertaining! And IF you want to make your own Chop Cup, Martin will teach you how to make the one he uses, out of a "Green Giant" can of peas! And you'll laugh at his closing gag with the two final load balls! (So good you will use it yourself).
Brad Burt, Brad's passion for the "art of magic" makes him an excellent teacher and you will see his patience in teaching some of the sleights, moves, misdirection, and techniques used in a good Chop Cup routine!
These four professional artists gladly teach their private routines for all to learn and use!
Running Time Approximately 1hr 12min
REVIEW FROM MAGICBUNNY.CO.UK: This is a great DVD the routines are shown then explained in excruciating detail from the masters. Each section is broken down so you can fully take on what is happening. I would suggest beginners can buy this because the DVD gives a good grounding but even if tou have been doing the chop cup for some time I would suggest you will still learn a lot from this DVD. The section on sleights is brilliant and Brad Burt does an exceptional job of teaching some of the sleights needed. He covers 3 sleights which is enough to do a chop cup routine there are some further sleights covered by Larry Jennings etc in their routines. Brad covers The roll vanish which he admits takes a lot of time and practice but the end result is worth it as it is a very deceptive vanish. It really does look as if the ball goes into his hand. Then the Schneider vanish with a chop cup ball again very deceptive. He also goes over the French drop vanish. Now I bet some of you are thinking you know all there is to know about the french drop. Well think again because Brad puts a totally different slant on this ancient sleight and makes it look very magical with his slightly different handling. All in all a great addition to anyone who is interested in the Chop Cup. Razamabaz UK
