‘I've spent a lot of time and money trying to find the perfect ‘impression clipboard'. The majority I've been disappointed with. This is probably due to the fact that I'm a perfectionist and I tend to be very picky about the type of gaffs I use.

Due to pure frustration and an empty wallet, I sat down and decided I wanted to make my own clipboard which had the benefits of a live, on stage peek, a board that didn't look heavily disguised and didn't need any crazy gimmicks to get an impression. Cost was another factor for me. I didn't want to spend loads of money on materials.

It's very low cost (making the board will cost about £4-5), it's very thin, it can be in A4 or A5 and you can turn up in any town/city in the civilised world, buy the materials needed from an art supply shop or stationers and make one of these boards up literally in a matter of minutes.

It doesn't have any secret compartments, traps, flaps or any other crazy ways to peek the information, lighting isn't an issue due to the clarity of the impression, there's hardly any angles to worry about (none at all depending on how and when you peek), and it works every single time, there is nothing to fail.

There are also numerous routines that make use of the clipboard as well as a discussion on pre show work and an in depth look at peeking the goods.

It doesn't use any fancy technology or require you to do anything demanding, and the beauty of it is, the clipboard itself isn't actually gimmicked in anyway. You decide when the surface area becomes "hot". In fact you can use the board throughout your gig.

Another great feature about the Alpha-Doodle Clipboard (by the way, did I mention the fact it can be transparent?) is because you have control over the impression surface, the spectators can freely handle and if you really want, inspect the board (before it's used), Because the spectators can handle the board freely throughout the show, when you actually use it for the dirty work, they won't have any reason to question it, as they have been using it all night.

I've tried to cover every detail and every subtlety I can think of in this text to help you get the most out of the premise. I also think some of the information in this manuscript can be used in conjunction with other clipboards and impression devices and will prove useful to you. Well enough waffling, let's get on with the show...' - Kit Felgate
