Purse and Pocket Management By Lee Sailer
Maybe this is totally obvious to everybody else, but here's a little something that I recently hit upon.
I cut down two playing cards so that they just fit inside my coin purse. Thus, I have three inner compartments that serve to keep my coins separate. For example, I usually have a Hopping Half set in one section, a real copper and silver in another section, and a C/S coin in the third section.
This makes it a lot easier to pick out the coins I need at any given moment. After a little practice, I found that I can reliably retrieve the coins I need from the purse without removing the purse from my pocket.
I have done the same thing with my actual pockets. I find that a stiff piece of paper or plastic, cut to the right shape, makes a good pocket organizer. I usually fold it over so that there are three sections to use: front, back, and inner. The inner is most separate and secure. Items in the front can migrate to the back, and vice versa, because they can go under the divider. I try to put the large items in the front and back. They don't migrate so easily.
Don't make both sides of the divider the same length. If one is a little shorter or longer, it is easier to get in between them.
Remember, getting things smoothly in and out of your pockets takes practice and rehearsal, too.
