The Original High Caliber HolsterTM is our most popular choice. With its 16 different pockets there is nothing you can't do with this holster. The Original is a full size holster, the largest we currently make. The new generation Originals have our new fast draw playing card pockets, larger pouch pockets than before, and five accessory mounts. The Original has two thin layered pockets on the left side which are perfect for carrying gaffed coins, folded bills ready for switches or other small flat items. The top layer is suitable for larger coins such as dollars or halves. The bottom layer is a little more snug and shallow, perfect for halves, quarters or indexing bills. Opposite the layered pockets, on the right side, is a business card pocket. While this pocket is designed for business cards, it will hold anything similar sized. The Original also has three "pouch style" pockets. The two smaller pockets are two inches wide (51mm). These pockets are perfect for coins or even smaller items which are subject to being lost. The pockets are completely closed on the bottom so nothing will fall out, no matter to its size. The larger pocket is 4 inches wide (102mm). The 4 inch pocket is also closed on the bottom. All the pouch pockets are one and a half inches deep (38mm) and project one inch (25mm). These pockets are lined for a truly luxurious feel and look. The folded edge of the pocket is shaved to a paper thin thickness for a very smooth lip around the edge. The pouch pockets can be fitted with optional flaps that have a magnetic closure. The last pocket on the front of the Original is the fast draw playing card pocket. Each side has one playing card pocket. The new generation playing card pockets are much improved from our previous styles. Theses pockets will allow you to retrieve a deck even faster than before due to their new leather with a slick vinyl lining. The mouth of the pocket is shaved, folded and stitched for a very smooth holstering action. The deck is held in a perfect tension which needs only the slightest pressure from your index finger to be removed. The new design has quickly taken over and is now our standard for all of our holsters. On the back side of each holster are two packet trick pockets. These pockets are two inches deep and keep your packets organized and safe. There are a total of four of these pockets on the Original, so you have many choices as to what else you can use these pockets for. Also on the back, is a large 4 inch pouch. This pouch is a perfect ditch pocket for your tips, but can be used for anything that needs a little more space than most items. These pockets can also double as backup playing card holders if you need to carry extra decks with you. Attached to the large pouches are a thumb tip holder, and Sharpie® holder. The Original comes standard with the thumb tip on the left side, retrievable with your right hand; and the sharpie on the right side retrievable with your left hand. While this is the standard, the Sharpie® and thumb tip can be swapped for lefties. Thumb tip pocket holds a standard Vernet size thumb tip. Jumbo thumb tips fit too, but stick out the top of the pocket the difference in lenght. Any other similar or smaller size thumb tip will fit. (Please tell us at time of ordering if you use a unique tumb tip, we will try to accommodate you needs.) The other major change made with the new generation of holsters are the accesory mounts. The Original holster now has 5 accessory mounts strategically placed on the holster. Each base (left and right) has two mounts, and the straps come standard with one mount in the center of the back. The base mounts give you the option to hange your existing pouches or steal gimmicks at your side. Your loads can hang just like they would if they were hanging on your jacket, but without weighing down the jacket and tearing at your lining. All of the weight is on your shoulders so there is never any concern with obvious dimples generally associated with hanging loads on you lining. The other mount is on the back strap. The back grommet is perfect for hanging those larger loads in the small of your back. With the new accessory mounts, the Original High Caliber HolsterTM is more flexible than ever before. You can now be sure that your holster will always have room for that one extra prop you couldn't carry before. The Original High Caliber HolsterTM uses our fully adjustable strap system. The straps can accommodate any size ranging from a child up to adults wearing a coat size 60. The strap system has 4 straps that are worn similar to a backpack. Each strap is independently adjustable, so you are sure to get a perfect fit. The Original High Caliber HolsterTM, along with all of the holster products, now have their own serial number for ease of customer support, and to show authenticity. Any holster made after May 2008 is the newest generation, and will have a serial number tag. The Original High Caliber HolsterTM, is made with only the finest leather available. 'I just received mine two days ago. The product is very well made and designed. I think the Holster is the perfect item for all walk around performers; restaurants, festivals, etc. It has always been difficult for me to carry much more than the basics doing walkaround because space is very limited; once you pack a deck of cards, a (card to) wallet, 3-4 coins (not to mention where to put gimmicked coins-which I generally eliminated, except for a shell), some dice, ring and rope, thumbtip (with $100 bill or a silk), a packet trick or two...and you are done. And that is WITH a jacket; WITHOUT a jacket, unless you have one of those vests (which never worked for me-stuff falls out) or a fanny pack (which looks ridiculous, no matter how you try to justify it) you are very, very limited. And, of course, if you are carrying all that stuff, you need to find it in your pockets-ie avoid the dice to get to the coins. Let's face it, with a jacket you have six pockets-two pants, two side jacket and two inside jacket. The Holster gives you FIVE pockets for small items: coins and/or purses,coin box, dice, silks, ring/string, knives; AND a TT holder; AND a Sharpie holder; AND a couple slots for packet tricks. I loaded ALL my normal walkaround stuff in the Holster (except for sponge-balls and wallet), then ADDED several items. AND I HAVEN'T EVEN PUT ANYTHING IN MY JACKET OR PANTS POCKETS YET (well, exept for the sponge balls and wallet)! AND I don't look like the elephant man.... 'First let me state that I have been using this for a while now four days a week. So this is from a real experience.
The quality of this item is top notch. Every little stitch is detailed and every little place for your props are well placed. When I first recieved it it took about a half hour to adjust to my size and get it so it was comfortable. Then of course I had to put all my stuff in it. The card holders were tight so I had to stretch them by leaving a deck of cards in there over night a few nights before I started using it. Now for the ease of use or the hard of use, It will take some time to get use to wearing this as you have to learn were everything is and also make it look smooth when reaching for a item. However that is not that hard, as it is normal for strollers to remember where stuff is in there pockets. This is like a index but for your tricks...LOL
The best part of this item is that IT TAKES AWAY THE BULDGE IN THE JACKET, YOU CAN WERE IT WITH A SHIRT IF YOU don't WANT TO WARE A JACKET. It really does make a difference and at this price you would expect it to. I personally cant believe I have a holder for all my close up that is so well hidden. Just to give you a idea of the things that are in mine, 3 fly, cig thru quater, two decks of cards, Nfw, Dingles twist, two jumbo coins, 4 silver dollars, TT, Sharpi, and 30 business cards...Now try putting all that in pockets and look normal.. When I first saw the price I thought it was insane but now to be totally honest I feel that it is well worth the asking price as I wont leave home with out it. This was designed by a working magician for magicians. When I were mine I feel great and more confident in my work. It really is that nice. 'So, after reading the reviews I took the plunge, spent the money and bought myself a holster. I received it earlier this week, spent the first couple of minutes adjusting it and immediately started loading it up for work. I put in my two decks (bicycle fit perfectly), scotch and soda (in coin purse), four regular half dollars w/shell (also in a coin purse), TT, sharpie, string for ring on string, business card wallet with my business cards and bills for ‘Fraud', cigarette rolling papers and lighter, and another business card case that I put my drivers license, credit card, and cash in. Everything was very easy to get to (once I remembered where I put it!) and there is still room for more stuff! I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND this for anyone who does strolling magic! It allows me to use my empty jacket pockets as staging areas (ie, Fraud) without fumbling around pushing stuff out of the way. And Joel was very easy to do business with! Keep up the good work. This thing is worth every cent. Two thumbs WAY UP!!!

Doing strolling magic it's very difficult to have all the props in pockets and I need my pockets free for ditching stuff because I do some impromptu magic using things from people. I need my jacket and pants pockets free that's for sure "This is the most useful utility tool after the thumbtip" I totally agree.

I've read lots on various organizers, CD holders, and more. I'm sure they are fine, but until you've actually worn an HCH, and taken the time to put your show into the various compartments, and then walked around using it.......you just can't know how good this is.
The quality is on par with the finest purses and wallets, like ORIGINAL Jerry O'Connell products. And the leather itself is heavy and of the finest quality,
I've got it loaded with Porpers Poker Chip Surprise, Porper She Fly chips, packet tricks and 3CM in a Jerry O'Connell wallet, SFS Bronze shells for Three Shell Game, Max Mavens "Viva Las Vegas", Sol Stones Radical Dice Routine, two decks of cards, color changing knives, fast and loose chain, and a bag of peas.
Throw this on and I'm good for way over an hour without going near my prop case.
(I eventually have to hit the prop case for card effects needing a full deck stack). I also carry three individual original Jerry O'Connell card cases on the back of my belt (I had to have them modified with the installation of a belt loop), under my jacket, which I switch into the two HCH pockets as needed.........and I put the "dead" decks into the card cases the new deck came out of.
