It took our team two years to research and development. Now, we can finally release our new version, and here it is!
It is one of the most famous mentalist effects, and its previous version was sold out at FISM's first day.
It is an incredible ice-breaker - it can be used in walk-around situations, trade-show work, and more.
You take a very nice watch off your wrist and let your spectator examine it. The watch displays the current time. You can even pull out its stem and play with the time setting if you like.
You say you are setting the watch to a predicted time. After setting it, you let the spectator hold the watch by the end of the strap, with the watch face turned away from them. You never touch the watch again.
You now ask the spectator to first call out ANY hour. Then you ask the person to call out ANY minute which together result in a time of day.
After doing so, the spectator slowly turns the watch around by himself. The face of the watch is set to their time!
1. No force. Can be predicted anytime and anywhere. 2. Easy to do. No sleight of hand. 3. Remote control. No magnets. 4. Absolutely examinable before and after the performance. 5. Fully functional watch that really keeps accurate time even though you have turned the gimmick off. 6. Real stem that can be pulled out to set the watch. 7. The measurement of the watch is 40mm and the thickness is 9.6mm. 8. High quality quartz watch with genuine leather strap and stainless-steel watchcase. 9. Watch is waterproof for up to 30 meters.
Having read reviews on this watch, some positive and some not, in fact some down right rude, I thought I would give my opinion on this item for what its worth.
I am now 75 years old and have spent at least 55 of those years in magic all be it dove and poodles magic, I have been lucky enough to spend time with a highly respected magician, he taught me so much and introduced me to some of his many friends, greatly experienced in entertainment.
One of the failings I noticed in the amateur and some time in the experienced, is the failure to recognise who they are as a performer and how they come across to their audience.
Just because an effect looks great or fantastic, the first question should be, is this for me? and can I do justice to the inventor of this wonderful effect? It is not the effect that makes the person, it is the person who makes the effect amazing.
Regarding this watch effect, is this you? Do people believe you can read minds? What colour watch would you pick? Is it going to fit my image and not stand out oddly on my wrist because the colour is wrong? Will I be able to see the hands clearly on a black or white face? Do I Have a good story line, believable to engross my onlookers?
I do think that the effect is more suited to small group of people, rather than a large audience, basic reason, I think this would be lost with a larger environment, and may come across a bit magic y, not mind reading, just my thought.
I use it for an example, to a person or persons when asked, what do you mean by mind or imagination reading in your presentation?, never the word show, when I have demonstrated the watch, I say that is the sort of demonstration I perform but larger In scale, then I give them a business card.
Finally the watch, looks great on the wrist, great off the wrist, and no one could tell it is a prop.
I have gold with a white face and can see the face and hands clearly.
The watch doubles as a regular watch and the hands can be adjusted like a normal watch and continue to function as a normal watch, once set for performance mode the watch works perfectly normal and will stay that way until you cancel performance mode, then the watch will just carry on as a normal watch again, but either mode the watch will work normally.
The remote is a little larger than a small box of matches, and is easily activated, there are two positions suggested to disguise this, neither one I use, but I am sure there some clever people out there who devise their own method of disguising it.
The remote can produce a low level click sound, so I have cut a kitchen sponge and pinched a bit and placed it between the lever action to deaden the sound, that fixed that.
The hands on the watch can spin round quite fast, so best to do it in a few clicks when you get near the time predicted, also a good idea to ask them to imagine a time roughly around a time say around 10 to two, so as long as you are nearly on it that's OK in my experience, they still think its a miracle, but with practice you will get on the minute most of the time.
