A playing card is picked by a spectator and hidden from view. The magician (that's you) reaches into his or her pocket and brings out an amazing Lie Detector machine. (Ok, it's actually a small packet of beautifully printed playing cards that you carry round in your wallet or purse).

A series of questions are then asked of the spectator. "Is your card red or black? Is it a number card or a court playing card?" The spectator can really tell the truth or fib like an terrible scallywag.

Every answer is 'entered' into the lie detector (by placing one playingcard from the top of the packet to the bottom for each letter of the random response), and the new top playing card is turned face up. By Magic, this reveals either the word TRUTH or LIE (depending on whether the spectator was honest or not)!

Using this process, you are able to correctly determine the value of the playing card choosen by the spectator.

In a brilliant final show of magic awesomeness you now turn over the lie detector packet over and show that ALL of the cards are in fact duplicates of the spectators chosen card!!
