The Gift is an effect with a method so clever that you'll feel a giddy urge to reveal the method to your spectators. We don't suggest that you actually do this.
"Angelo fooled me with his original version, and the finished product is just wonderful. It's a beautiful trick and a very versatile prop with all the trademark elegance we'd expect from one of close-up magic's finest living inventors." - Derren Brown
"One of the most miraculous things I've ever seen." - Richard Kaufman
Rarely does a secret get published that ticks all the boxes (no pun intended).
The spectator deals the cards face up and stops wherever they want. They open the gift box themselves and remove the prediction inside. The prediction will ALWAYS be correct!
Bonus routine included where your prediction is torn in half, and half of it is in view the ENTIRE time before a card is selected. The other half is inside the box and, of course, both torn halves match perfectly!
The spectator and the box do the hard work, but you come out the winner.
The Gift is a self-contained, precision-crafted device that makes the effect easy to perform. It doesn't use any indexes or loads, and resets in seconds. Open the box, set up the device, and you'll be performing within minutes.

Give your spectators "The Gift" of an impossible moment!
I actually have made this my favourite trick of the year , it’s brilliant and gets the spectators wondering HOW. .
Easy to do for such a brilliant effect , I say to all new and old magicians put this in your act as a must for close up
I thought that 'Steam 2.0' was good but 'The Gift' knocks it out of the ball park. What an ingenious idea. Everyone who I have shown this to has got no idea of how its done. When I got opened the deck for the first time and looked through it, I thought "god this is so easy people are bound to figure this out" but surprisingly no they don't and I have been performing this on loads of people. Thankyou Angelo Carbone for this illusion and thank you to Merchants of Magic. I highly recommend this trick and I would recommend that you go and get it , you will not be disappointed
I hate it when I can't guess how it's done and this had me flummoxed. The problem is not my ignorance as my fear there is something devious in the vid. Each guess I came up with was thwarted by a further mystery and these are the best effects in my opinion. Like so many other products I actually bought this for a quite different routine and it fits in nicely. However I like this effect so much I will no doubt use it just as much in the way(s) shown. Overall for it's use as an effect, it's use as a prop, and the quality of the product, I would put this in my top 5 'investments'.
With the inclusion of an excellent easy-to-follow tutorial video, complete with full explanation of the development of the effect, tips and advice on creating a smooth routine with suggestions for additional subtleties, The Box ticks all of the ... ahem ... boxes. I enjoyed the simplicity of the effect and the smoothness of the mechanics of the piece. I have performed this many times now and included my own variations on the reveals. It is limited only by the performer's imagination, works very well with solitaire cards, images, photographs, etc. Destined to be a classic. Simple but sophisticated. Best of all, it works right out of the box. Literally. Recommended.
Let me say from the start that I've never felt compelled to write a review for any product before despite having bought hundreds of tricks. But this one is different. This is quite simply a piece of genius. I did hesitate at the price and thought myself "this had better be good". It is better than good. The method is so clever and lends itself to many possible presentations. I've settled on one method and it seems to be going down very well. It's easy to perform and made of good quality materials. I can't recommend it highly enough
